What can you say about Sander Kleinenberg? We all know him, well all love him and we all know that over the years his sound has become synonymous with a funky electro house that only he can pull off. Not only that, he pretty much Pioneers the whole DVJ era so when you listen and judge his latest, Rock You All Night Long, you can't judge it like any other house track - Rather, you have to view it as more of an audio/visual experience, just like you do when you see Justin Timberlakes new video and it actually improves your impression of the track before you experienced the visual interpretation.

Rock You All Night Long is energy in abundance; it's pitched right up there at 128 which in these days is fast. When you get a track for review you're often given an explanation of the tune in its press pack and said explanation reads, 'Tough techy percussion, a deep pulsating bass-line and an infectious Daft Punk esque vocoded vocal line set to stun'. Well, to be honest, I don't think I could write anything better that epitomises the feel anymore than this.

Put yourself in this scenario, Sander's on the decks and he's working his DVJ magic with this tune assaulting both your audio and video senses. You're going to be throwing shapes like it's your first ever dance floor moment because it has everything a successful tune has. But then try to imagine being a DJ that's constantly on the lookout for new tunes and you listen to R.Y.A.N.L....You're most likely going to skip straight onto the next tune. Why? Because every would be DJ out there is not looking for a massive pop bomb, they're looking for the kind of tune Sander made his name with. A filthy, deep, underground monster that only needed the kind of power most/if not all DJ's rely on. The Audio experience.

So if you're asking me is this a good track? Well, yes, this is a massive pop music bomb that is surely destined to take the commercial side of our beloved industry by storm. But if you're a DJ and you're looking for that underground filth we all devote our lives hunting down then no, Sander has progressed beyond that finely tuned appreciation and exploded onto the global stage. Conquered only by the likes of Faithless, Underworld and indeed, Daft Punk. Junkie XL, Tiësto and Paul Van Dyk have all flirted with it but in my mind Sander's take has the edge to move him into that exclusive club.

My bet is we'll see Sander in his pop videos pretending to tweak knobs just like David Guetta with pretty girls everywhere before this year's out. But please; Sander, we know what your capable of, give us dreamers something a little more underground.

The question remains, is an artist so finely tuned really allowed to progress into everything we despise about the music industry? Answer: Yes, this is a natural progression, a sign of absolute success. Don't be bitter, just sit back and watch in absolute admiration.
