1. What is your first memory to music?
My first memory of music in general was when I was about 5 years old. I remember playing around with a piano, and my parents were amazed when I played happy birthday by ear. From that point forward I wanted to take lessons... I guess you could say music has always been my calling. I've spent my whole life studying, listening to, playing and performing music.

2. What is your favorite piece of equipment you use in the studio or DJing and why?
I would have to say my Micro Korg. I use it as a controller, and have always loved the sound of it. Its versatile, and compact. Currently I have been writing music on a 1961 Thomas Transistor organ that I found on the side of the road here in Toronto. The thing has got the craziest sound, and is just plain fun to play. I still can't believe it actually worked when I got it back to my place.

3. What is your current top 5? (artist/title/label)
1. Shenoda - "Speak Easy" - Hypercolour
2. James Teej ft. dOP - "Greenback" - Rekids
3. Trio - "Cloddish Sky" - Rebirth
4. Radio Slave - "I Don't Need A Cure For This" - Rekids
5. Silky ft. Rainy Payne - "Paranoid" (Live Tech Rebelz Remix) - Uberbeat

4. Sex, Drugs or Rock 'n Roll?
All three... rolled up.

5. What music outside the electronic spectrum, do you listen to?
I listen to absolutely everything. Coming from a background where my dad raised me on 60's psychedelic rock, and stuff like Pink Floyd, to jazz, to classical, I really can appreciate all GOOD music.... with much emphasis on it actually being good. The only stuff I can't really stand is what a lot of the "mainstream" music has become... there's so much cookie cutter crap flooding the airwaves its sometimes a bit depressing for me. I like and can appreciate anything that's innovative... regardless of genre, regardless of it being mainstream, or anything else. I try to be innovative with my own music as best as I can, so I just simply appreciate that in all other music as well.

6. Do you think (dance) music is able to lie?
No, I think music itself is pretty transparent. I honestly believe that music is a medium where the truth is always buried in it, whether literally or conceptually, in some shape or form.

7. What is the last book you have read and what did you think of it?
The last book I read, which was while I was on tour in Europe last month, was "Shadow Factory" by James Bamford. Its basically about the NSA and its insanely vast information collecting resources. It focused on a lot of the massive communication breakdowns that the different security agencies in the US suffered pre 9/11. Before reading this book I had no idea to the scope of the US's information gathering, and their collaboration with other countries' government agencies. Big brother is most definitely watching.

8. Are all your friends involved in (dance) music?
Well I think most of my friends appreciate music in some way. I do roll with a lot of producers here in Toronto, but that's more because we have shared common interest in the type of music we're all into. I'm by no means an elitist when it comes to stuff like that, so as long as someone is real, and gets the big picture, then chances are we're likely to be friends.

9. What would you do with a million ping pong balls?
I'd probably ship them to Berlin and set up a high end boutique ping pong shop.

10. What can we expect of you in the near future?
Well my first full length album is coming out on May 30th on Rekids, and I've got a series of EPs and singles coming out throughout the remainder of 2010, so basically I want to keep up a healthy release schedule, continue to write thought provoking material, all the while beginning to tour the world more, performing my live shows as well as my vocal DJ sets wherever I can. I'm also collaborating with numerous artists doing vocal work, so watch out for some of those projects too.
